Happy New Year 2015 - #Prayerfor2015

Happy New Year to you all. I want to thank the Almighty Lord for granting me life and blessings. 2014 was my best year yet. As my spiritual mentor Joel Osteen likes to say "This year is going to be your best year so far." I believed 2014 was going to be my best year. Trials and tribulations had rocked me in 2013, but I never lost hope. I prayed and God granted me success. I stood by him when all seemed to go wrong. In so doing, I strengthened my faith and trusted in him more. I was reminded of Job's relent and faith when he was confronted by Satan's deceit. He was restored and gianed favor from the Lord. A new beginning came in 2014. When all seemed lost, an olive branch was extended to me. I rose in happiness, thanking God for the new beginning. The Lord has been be good to me and I praise his name. More and more I grew spiritually, my faith was strengthened, and I sought to know hime more. He gave me an amazing job, I engaged my girlfriend Joan, and we are getting married this year. I believe I will go from strength to strength, victory to victory and success to success. I pray this year will be my best year yet. I pray for the down trodden, those that have lost their faith, those that are persecuted because of their faith, the sick, those in prison, the poor, orphans and widows. I pray for my country Tanzania. As this is an election year, I pray for peace and tranquility. I pray that loves prevails over hatred, and anything that will threaten peace be thwarted in Jesus name. I BELIEVE 2015 will be my best year yet! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

#Poem: #ThanksGiving

I stop and wonder,
Think and ponder,
The great blessings and splendor,
Life in abundance, smiling no wonder
I raise my eyes and thank him above for grace and grandeur
The good health, radiance, my troubles I surrender
My cries and tribulations, He is my fender
A thanksgiving prayer to my God my redeemer

What a Good Prayer!

Universal Prayer
Post-communion Group

Lord, I believe in You:

but let me believe more strongly.
I love You: but let me love You more ardently.
I sorrow, but deepen my sorrow for my sins.

I adore You as my first beginning,

I long for You as my last end,
I praise You as my constant benefactor,
I call on You as my loving protector.

Guide me by Your wisdom,

hold me with Your justice,
comfort me with Your mercy,
protect me with Your power.

I offer You, Lord, my thoughts,

my words, to be fixed on You,
my actions, to be according to You,
my sufferings and to be endured for You.

I want to do what You want,

in the way You want,
for as long as You want,
because You want.

I pray, O Lord, enlighten my understanding,

inflame my will,
purify my heart, and sanctify my soul.

May I weep for my former iniquities,

repel future temptations,
correct my faults,
and cultivate suitable virtues.

Grant me, O God, love of You,

hatred of myself,
zeal for my neighbor,
and contempt for the world.

May I be eager to obey my superiors,

be courteous to my inferiors,
faithful to my friends,
and to forgive my enemies.

Help me to conquer sensuality with austerity,

greed with generosity,
anger with gentleness,
apathy with fervor.

Make me prudent in planning,

steadfast in danger,
patient in adversity,
and humble in prosperity.

O Lord, make me attentive in prayer,

temperate in drink,
diligent in my duties,
and firm in purpose.

May I take care to have an innocent interior,

a modest exterior,
exemplary speech,
and a well and ordered life .

May I be ever-watchful in guarding against my weaknesses,

cherishing Your grace,
keeping Your laws,
and coming to salvation.

May I learn from You the passing nature of this world,

the grandness of heaven,
the shortness of this life,
and the life to come eternal.

Grant that I may prepare for death,

fear judgment,
flee from Hell,
and obtain paradise.
Grant this though Christ our Lord. Amen.
